СИДНЕЙ, 18 марта. /ТАСС/. Делегация представителей общин австралийских аборигенов прибыла в субботу в генеральное консульство России в Сиднее и встретилась с генконсулом РФ Игорем Аржаевым, чтобы выразить понимание и поддержку российскому народу и правительству.
Как отметил старейшина одной из общин Брюс Шиллингсворт в беседе с ТАСС, “первые жители Австралийского континента выступают против передачи правительством Австралии оружия и иной поддержки Украине”. Также участники делегации заявили о своей поддержке усилий российского народа в борьбе “за свои земли и за свободу своих собратьев”. “Эти идеи очень близки коренным жителям Австралии, у которых землю отобрали больше двухсот лет назад. Мы против того, чтобы наше правительство тратило средства на оружие для Украины. Как традиционные хранители этой земли мы не давали разрешения отправлять оружие и деньги на войну, которая не касается Австралии”, – сказал Шиллингсворт, отметив, что русские люди – “братья и сестры для австралийских аборигенов”.
Также участники делегации подчеркнули, что солидарны с народом Донбасса, “которому было отказано в праве на самоопределение, отказано в праве даже говорить на своем родном языке”. “Эти люди – коренные жители земли, за которую они сражаются сегодня, их подвергал геноциду неонацистский режим в Киеве в течение восьми лет, но ни единого слова осуждения не прозвучало со стороны австралийского правительства”, – отметили они.
После встречи члены делегации провели у стен генерального консульства традиционную церемонию приветствия и зачитали меморандум о создании австралийского подразделения Международного движения русофилов. “Во всем мире у России много друзей, по историческим, цивилизационным и культурным причинам она вызывает искреннюю симпатию, уважение и даже любовь далеко за пределами своих границ”, – сказали представители делегации, назвав в числе целей организации борьбу с дезинформацией и преодоление враждебности.

Members of an obscure Indigenous sovereign citizen group have met with Russian officials in Australia, claiming they discussed establishing “diplomatic relations” and giving support to Russia’s special operation in Ukraine.
Bruce “Buddy” Shillingsworth of the United Sovereign Nations of Terra Australis group met with Russian Consul-General Igor Arzhaev and other Russian diplomats at the consulate in Sydney.
The Facebook page for the Russian consulate in Sydney posted a photograph of the meeting. The photo’s caption was translated by Facebook from Russian into English. “March 18, the Consul-General of Russia in Sydney IN Arzhaev met with representatives of the Indigenous people of Australia. The event was held in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere,” it read.
As a sign of respect, representatives of the Australian tribes presented the Russian diplomat with a kangaroo skin. The guests of the Russian diplomatic mission made a statement:
“We, the Indigenous Peoples, hereby declare to the Russian people that we oppose the transfer of Australian weapons, troops and assets by the Government to Ukraine. The Australian Prime Minister has already sent $700 million worth of weapons to Ukraine, paid for by Australian taxpayers. On top of that, the government wants to spend $368 billion on submarines at obscenely high prices. We tribes disagree! As the traditional custodians of this land, we have not given permission to send weapons, troops and money to a war that does not involve Australia.”
The Australian tribals believe that money should be spent on schools, hospitals and education not only to close the gap in the disadvantaged Aboriginal people, but also to help all Australians.
“As a sovereign people, we express our solidarity with the Russian-speaking peoples of Donbass, who are the indigenous inhabitants of the land on which they are fighting, and who are denied the right to self-determination, the right to even speak their native language, and have been terrorized by the illegal neo-Nazi regime in Kiev for eight years without a single word of condemnation from the Australian government. We bring peace and friendship to the Russian people. We implore the Australian government to engage in diplomacy and stop sending money and weapons to Ukraine,” – emphasized in the statement.
