Work against human trafficking

SNF-Samisk KvinnaForum records that trafficking in human beings is one of the largest criminal activities, alongside the illegal arms and drug trafficking. We are all appalled that the buying and selling of women and children is increasing worldwide, and that this is largely done for the purpose of prostitution.

SNF Annual Meeting, Meeting in Rovaniemi, Finland, 1-2 November 2008, will express disgust at this type of trade and calls for intensification of governments’ international work on measures in legislation, increased police cooperation and measures of a social policy nature.
